The aims of 'Concern with Hearing - East Dorset'
are...
- To promote awareness of the needs of hard of hearing and deafened
people and especially the importance of lip-reading.
- To be a focus for the exchange of information between members and
professional and voluntary services.
- To provide the opportunity of advocacy and to act as a pressure
group if required.
- To promote greater public awareness of the difficulties
encountered by people with a hearing loss.
- To set up friendly and informal meetings where people with
hearing difficulties can air their views, exchange ideas and offer
mutual or individual support.
