Concern with Hearing - East Dorset

A local group, established by hard of hearing people,
especially for hard of hearing and deafened people
who do not rely on sign language for communication.
We encourage the use of lip reading.

'Concern with Hearing - East Dorset' was set up in 1993, is an associate member of RNID
and is affiliated to 'Hearing Concern'.

We maintain close links with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
and the Wessex Association for Deafened People.

The group is represented at consultative meetings held by Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset District Councils, and is asked to contribute in other areas where loss of hearing is an issue.
